MILTON, GA -- Milton High School's basketball team is currently ranked No. 3 in the Powerade Fab 50 ESPN RISE Team Rankings.

On Saturday, Jan. 15, this winning team will be put to the test by competing in the ESPN RISE 2010-2011 High School Basketball Showcase. Milton will face the No. 2 team -- Oak Hill Academy from Mouth of Wilson, Virginia -- in the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame Spalding Hoophall Classic at Springfield College's Blake Arena in Springfield, Massachusetts.

The 8:00 p.m. game will be broadcast live on ESPNU.

ESPN RISE represents ESPN's commitment to engage and elevate high school athletes by providing them with recognition, resources, information and inspiration that can motivate them to improve their skills and achieve their goals to be the best athletes they can be, according to its Web site.

The [Milton] Eagles won their first state title [Class AAAAA] last year without a senior on the roster. They have their eyes set on a bigger prize this season thanks to the return of Julian Royal, Shannon Scott and Dai-Jon Parker, who are all rated in the ESPNU 100. They'll be helped by talented junior Evan Nolte, an ESPNU Super 60 member, and junior transfer Shaquille Johnson.
